After a brief business meeting we will have a representative from the Sea Boost Company give us a presentation. Some of our members use this natural product to achieve great results in the growing of their dahlias. We are all most anxious to hear about the product and learn how to apply it.

Back by popular demand – taking cuttings from our dahlia tubers. Many of our members have already started growing a couple of tubers so that they will have specimens to practice on. One of our senior growers/members will explain cuttings, the reasons for them, how to harvest them and then how to keep them growing on successfully |
April 25 |
This is the night of our popular ‘Tuber Auction’. Special, hard to find, tubers and some popular ones will be auctioned off to raise money for club costs and activities. We have a lively good time and quite often some healthy bidding takes place among friends causing much entertainment.. Our only two fund raisers for the year are the Tuber Auction and the Tuber Sale. With only a DSNS membership fee of $5.00 and free entry for anyone in our annual dahlia show we do depend on these funds. |
May 30 |
Various members will give presentations on the new varieties grown and how they performed in Nova Scotia gardens. This will be an informative meeting and very valuable to any grower who likes to bring in or try new named tubers. . |
