In 2007 Carol and Cecil decided to take all the dahlia seed that they had been storing in their refrigerator from the last five years and see how many would germinate. Now one would think that five year old seed would not germinate but it did for them. The end result were six hundred (600) new seedlings being planted out in their already huge dahlia patch.
Their Great Village, Cumberland County, garden was a real splash of color in 2007 and Carol had a great time choosing which seedlings to grow on for 2008. Look for many new dahlias to come from the Dexter garden.
